Rivesaltes, Marquis de Boaca 1955

Tasting Notes

The 1955 Marquis de Boaca, which here comes from one of the three demi-muids, offers impressive intensity on the nose with marmalade, licorice and star anise that is very well-defined. The palate is ripe and sensual on the entry, caressing the mouth with lovely red plum, strawberry, toffee and fig toward the finish. This is composed and harmonious, tender but intense. Drink now-2025.

Very dark brownish . Treacle nose. Very rich and intense. Great sweetness. A big wine! Massively much darker than the 1964. Maybe more black grapes? Lots of excitement. Prune juice plus subtlety and freshness.
