Grands Echézeaux, Lucien Le Moine 2012

A highly spiced and really quite expressive nose for a young GE displays intensely floral notes along with pretty wild cherry, raspberry and sandalwood hints. The palate impression of the broad-shouldered flavors is at once muscular yet refined as the muscle is sleek rather than robust and this mouth feel is enhanced by the fine grain of the shaping tannins on the firm and astonishingly persistent finish. A GE of harmony and grace but make no mistake, this is built for the long term.
