Chambertin, Roche de Bellene 2011

Tasting Notes

The oak regime here has been largely, if not completely, integrated as it allows the cool, pure and restrained wild red berry fruit nose that evidences plenty of stone and game influence. There is an excellent sense of underlying tension to the precise, intense and powerful mineral-driven big-bodied flavors that offer impressive length and very good depth. This is a fine, if not truly distinguished effort for the vintage.
