**Note: a little known 1er that sits directly above Chambertin-Clos de Bèze made from vines planted in 1973**
Here the aromatic profile changes and becomes more openly animale yet there is still a certain elegance to the red raspberry, stone, earth, herbal and forest floor scents. There is very much the feeling of restraint to the cool, delineated, mineral-tinged and impressively intense middle weight flavors that possess excellent punch if not quite the depth of the La Riotte.
