Chambertin, Roche de Bellene 2012

Tasting Notes

A pungent nose of menthol and oak influence presently dominate the otherwise cool red currant, plum and floral scents. There is outstanding concentration and intensity to the more mineral-inflected, bigger and more muscular flavors that possess a velvety mouth feel on the beautifully long and well-structured finish. This is very Chambertin and while there is more size and weight compared to the Bèze, the palate impression is less fine. A qualitative choice.
