Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg Kabinett, Maximin Grünhaus - Weingut der Familie von Schubert 2013

Tasting Notes

More flinty or aristocratic on the nose than the Herrenberg Kabinett is the 2013 Maximin Grunhauser Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett, which has a lovely finesse, lightness and filigreed structure. This buoyant 5% alcohol Kabinett is a great reflection of the Abtsberg terroir and a beautiful Kabinett for the next 20 years. Drink 2015-2035.

(von Schubert Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett) AP: 06 14. This is initially marked by some scents of spontaneous fermentation but slowly reveals a refined and complex nose of flowers, mint and cassis. This feeling of finesse carries on onto the palate, where a touch of acidity perfectly balances out the residual sugar, making this a juicily fresh and racy Kabinett to enjoy in a few years' time. 2020-2033
