Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux Saint Jacques, Domaine Claude Dugat 2012

Tasting Notes

**Note: from a .29 ha parcel of 20+ year old vines**
For a wine that is often quite deeply pitched the nose is unusually high-toned with fresh aromas of pure red cherry and currant though there are undertones of earth present as well. There is fine verve and plenty of minerality to the generous and naturally sweet medium-bodied flavors that possess plenty of mouth coating dry extract that buffers well the moderately firm tannins that shape the balanced and textured finish. This is also really lovely.
