Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Lucien Le Moine 2010

Tasting Notes

Reduction blocks an accurate assessment of the nose. There is superb vigor and thrust to the penetratingly mineral suffused large-scaled but elegant, pure and refined flavors that possess, along with the Gaudichots, the best overall depth of any wine in the range. There is perfect phenolic ripeness of the supporting structural elements and while the delectably precise finish is overtly austere at present, everything is in place to potentially have a Clos de Bèze of greatness though it is worth underscoring that plenty of time will be needed to witness the transformation.
