(Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese) AP: 08 15. This gorgeous dessert wine delivers a superb nose in which fresher scents of pear, mint and even grapefruit mingled with superbly precise and rich apricot, citrus cream, pineapple and honey. The wine is superbly comforting on the palate, with some ripe yet firm acidity cutting through a gorgeous sense of herb-infused oiliness. The finish plays again this ravishing fresh-ripeness repertoire as one is left with honeyed mirabelle in a lingering after taste. This is a superb Auslese which will prove hard to resist at maturity. 2024-2049
