Richebourg, Domaine Hudelot-Noellat 2013

**Note: from a .28 ha parcel of vines that abut those of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in Richebourg proper; 5 barrels were produced in 2013**
There are no issues with reduction here as the overtly spicy nose features cool and ultra-pure notes of essence of red currant, violets and a touch of plum, all of which is trimmed is subtle hints of sandalwood. The intense, muscular and large-scaled flavors exude a fine bead of minerality and while there is ample power and punch this is a Richebourg of relative refinement. Note that though this is quite firmly structured it is the epitome of what I like to describe as power without weight.
