Latricières Chambertin, Jean-Marie Fourrier 2013

Tasting Notes

A very cool and restrained nose is all but mute at present though determined swirling eventually coaxes notes of wet stone, red currant, humus and underbrush to reveal themselves. There is outstanding intensity to the beautifully well-delineated medium-bodied flavors that are constructed on a base of almost pungent minerality before terminating in a wonderfully complex, persistent and impeccably well-balanced finish. There is plenty of the typical austerity that young Latricières usually displays and this classy effort will need a minimum of several years of cellar time and reward at least 15.
