Volnay Premier Cru, Domaine Michel Lafarge 2005

A gorgeously elegant and seductive nose of red pinot fruit liqueur and spice hints introduces sweet, rich, refined, sappy and intensely mineral flavors that are textured, detailed and mouth coating on the penetrating finish. This is at once linear yet generous though I suspect it will tighten up once in bottle as a classic Chanlins usually does.
