Tasting Notes

Tangy and juicy, with pleasant berry and plum fruit character. Drink now.

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, October 2012

Dark crimson with pale rim. Zesty, savoury nose. Mainly Merlot but not excessively sweet. Quite a bit of alcohol on the finish marks it somewhat. Lots of ripeness.

Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, March 2010

Medium-deep ruby colour. The nose here is ripe with plum fruits, a little cassis and a nice hint of sweet vanilla from oak. The palate is smooth, soft, and round with ripe and integrated tannins wrapping a core of black cherry and blackcurrant fruit. Hints of cedar, wood smoke and vanilla add complexity to this silky wine that is perfect for drinking now. There are no hard edges to the finish which is pure and ripe with a delicious chocolatey character to the fruit.
