Gevrey Chambertin Estournelles St Jacques, Louis Jadot 2013

A note of cool menthol sits atop the equally cool and airy nose of perfumed stone, tea and various red berry fruit scents. There is a notably finer mouth feel thanks to the fine grained tannins that shape the delicious, lacy and admirably pure middle weight flavors that also exude plenty of minerality on the balanced and lingering finish. This is not as powerful or complex as the Cazetiers but for those who enjoy ample Gevrey character delivered with finesse, this would be a good choice.
