Rivesaltes, Riveyrac 1986

Tasting Notes

The 1986 Rivesaltes from Riveyrac has more complexity and vigor, touches of marmalade and ginger, just a little smudged at first, but it gains clarity while retaining its welcome volatile kick. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, marmalade and quince, harmonious and quite caressing in the mouth with a dash of white pepper, ginger and dried orange peel on the finish. Very fine - I can imagine this with a nice slab of Comté! Drink: 2016 - 2030
