Notes of pear, white peach, orange blossom and subtle hazelnut introduce a full-bodied, deep and focussed palate with mineral grip and a penetrating finish. A nice village Meursault. Drinking Window 2016 - 2026
Depth of fruit on the nose the palate is rich and ripe with honey and melon a creamy rich mid palate. Greengage and peach hints a vanilla and oak toasty richness yet at the back there is fresh fruit crisp apple the finish bright with lingering flavours. Drink 2018-2023.
Located at the top of the village of Meursault, this vineyard has very stony, shallow, well-draining soils. The 2015 was vinified in oak, a third of which was new, and the fermentation finished in late November. After this the wine was left in oak for a further 8 months with occasional lees stirring. Nutty and peachy on the nose, this has the perfect balance bewtween sweet and smoky oak and intense fruit aromatics. The palate is rich and oily, with real visocosity and power tamed by crisp acidity and juicy stone fruits. The nutty richness gives a long and smoky intensity on the finish. This is a superb example of Meursault.
