Tasting Notes

This is a juicy, rich red that shows balance and intensity. Full body, velvety tannins and a flavorful finish of dried fruit, mushroom and dark chocolate. Drink or hold.

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, October 2015

Deep ruby in colour with a rich, brooding nose of mulberry, cinnamon, blackberry and vanilla. the palate is dense and intense with a core of ripe black fruits. This initially round and plump mouthfeel is balanced by fresh acidity and the tannins are smooth and supple to softly frame the fruit. The flavours flesh out to savoury smoke and sweet clove with hints of toasted nutmeg and bramble. The finish is long and intense yet still poised and balanced, making this very much a case of iron fist, velvet glove. Absolutely delicious!
