Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg Spatlese, Maximin Grünhaus - Weingut der Familie von Schubert 2014

Tasting Notes

The 2014 Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg Riesling Spätlese (AP #12) opens very clear and smoky on the deep and aromatic nose. It is piquant and intense on the palate, very juicy and concentrated, firm and potent, and far away from being ready to drink. It is lush and piquant, very mineral and racy, and needs at least 15 years to reveal its true talents. This is a great Spätlese in Grand Cru format. Bottled with 68 grams of residual sugar. Drink 2030-2060.

(von Schubert Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg Riesling Spätlese) AP: 12 15. This beautiful Spätlese delivers gorgeously subtle and complex scents of yellow fruits, cassis, cherry, spices and herbs. The finish is long and well-balanced. Candied grapefruit, a hint of mango and herbs bring a superbly exotic side to the after-taste. This Grünhaus classic is set for a great future! 2024-2039
