Morey Saint Denis, La Riotte, Domaine Taupenot-Merme 2010

Tasting Notes

This is also quite ripe with earthy red cherry, plum, earth and spice hints preceding the solidly mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that also possess unusually fine tannins that contribute to the refined mouth feel of the moderately structured and beautifully complex finish. As with virtually all of the wines in the Taupenot 2010 range, this has a palpable feel of energy to it and you just feel like drinking this, if for no other reason that all of the structural elements are in perfect harmony. Note however that despite the refinement this is firm, mildly austere and will need plenty of cellar time. Drink: 2022+ Outstanding
