Gevrey Chambertin Goulots, Domaine Fourrier 2014

Tasting Notes

Bright, moderately saturated medium red. Blacker and more gamey on the nose than the Cherbaudes, offering scents of blackberry, blueberry, cherry and spices. (These vines are higher on the slope and further north than the Cherbaudes and thus the wine is denser, notes Fourrier. ) Plush and sweet but nicely focused: I could drink this beauty right now! Finishes fine-grained and long, with sweet tannins and some apparent oakiness.

Bright crimson. Light nose. But good attack on the palate. Really racy and punchy. This has lift and energy.
