Chevalier Montrachet, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey 2013

Tasting Notes

A highly complex citrus-infused nose is composed by mostly honeysuckle and lilac notes that are trimmed in a discreet application of oak along with a hint of sulfur. There is strikingly good purity to the powerful, focused and detailed medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent size and weight plus plenty of dry extract that coats the palate on the vibrant, persistent, citrusy and notably firm finish that seems to be built on a base of minerality. This should repay at least a decade of cellar time yet at the same time it should be approachable after only 5 to 7 years.
