Chassagne Montrachet Caillerets, Domaine Fontaine Gagnard 2014

Relatively few 2014s display yellow orchard fruits but this one does as there are notes of apricot and peach on the floral, pear and citrus-scented nose. Interestingly there is a hint of quinine on the beautifully delineated and stony medium weight flavors that culminate in a citrusy, clean, markedly dry and ever-so-mildly austere finale. This is clearly built-to-age and is going to need at least 4 to 6 years first.
