Tasting Notes

This is slightly fresher than the straight Corton with its slightly more elegant combination of lavender and lilac-inflected red berry liqueur, earth and softly spicy aromas. There is excellent intensity to the medium-bodied, sleek and chiseled flavors that exhibit a discreet minerality on the wonderfully long finish that is shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins. This is textbook Bressandes that should amply repay 12 to 15 years of cellaring yet one that should also be approachable after only 7 to 8 years of bottle age.
