Tasting Notes

A classic fruit bomb style with ripe plum, black cherry, vanilla and liquorice flavours. Big, flavoursome wine with a featherbed texture and enough support from ripe tannins to prevent any suggestion of jamminess.

Bob Campbell MW, bobcampbell.nz, March 2016

Plenty of brambly red cherries, plums and raspberries on this ripe and seductive nose with fresh herbal notes that add fine, spicy complexity. A confidently smooth, bold and even-handed palate with a wealth of red fruit flavors and even ripeness. Fine tannins have completely formed shape, and the balance is right, too. Great wine. Drink now.

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, May 2015

Deep ruby-purple in color, the 2013 Pinot Noir has a nose of black cherries and black raspberries with hints of cinnamon, cloves and violets. Medium bodied with mouth-filling black berry flavors supported by a good amount of acid and medium level grainy tannins, it finishes with good length.
