Deep ruby with orange tinges. Subdued and minerally on the nose. Quite drawn back on the palate too, and opening up slowly to concentrated cherry fruit. Layers of chewy, almost Nebbiolo-like tannins. Still unsettled, but definitely a cut above the rest. (WS)
