Chambolle Musigny Amoureuses, Lucien Le Moine 2014

Tasting Notes

Reduction flattens the underlying fruit. The gorgeously textured, precise and mineral-driven flavors are ultra-refined while delivering beautiful persistence on the strikingly complex finish. This is very classy and I particularly like the overall sense of harmony; indeed this could aptly be described as Zen-like. Drink: 2026+

The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses has a fragrant nose of red plum, wild strawberry and mineral scents that are beautifully focused. There is something incisive about the bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, slightly chalky tannin, fine depth with hints of marmalade and spice towards the finish that fans out with a sense of confidence. The pedigree of this vineyard shines through in this barrel sample and hopefully that will be translated once in bottle. Drink Date 2020 - 2045
