A mild hint of reduction does not completely mask the pretty floral scents. There is a bit more volume if a touch less minerality to the vibrant, delicious and round medium weight flavors that culminate in a balanced and seductively textured finale that possesses reasonably good depth and persistence.
The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru les Charmois has a seductive, quite perfumed bouquet with white and yellow flower scents filtering through the citrus fruit. The palate is crisp and vibrant--edgy for a Saint Aubin with lemon peel and freshly sliced pear fanning out gently on the finish. This comes recommended.
