A strikingly elegant nose offers up notes of both red and blue pinot fruit liqueur where breadth is added by the presence of subtle spice, earth and stone. The fresh, vibrant and beautifully intense middle weight flavors possess excellent volume, all wrapped in a very finely textured and mouth coating finish. While there is a background touch of sleek muscularity, this is really more Chambolle than Vougeot. This is highly recommended and should also reward up to a decade of cellaring.
