Gevrey Chambertin, Symphonie, Alain Burguet 2014
**Note: from younger vines that come mostly from the eastern side of the Route Nationale; these vineyards include Etelois, Jouise, Creux Brouillard, La Justice, Les Crais, Reniard and La Platière**
There is a whiff of new wood framing the pretty red currant, earth and lightly sauvage-inflected nose. Here too the middle weight flavors possess relatively fine-grained tannins that add to the sense of refinement on the ever-so-mildly austere finish. Note that this should be approachable young if desired.
