CDP La Crau de Ma Mère, Vignobles Mayard 2015

Tasting Notes

The top cuvée of the estate is the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau de Ma Mère, and it's a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah from the oldest vines on the estate. It's an almost hypothetical blend of the prior two cuvées and offers fabulous notes of strawberries, black cherries, saddle leather and garrigue. Full-bodied, impeccably balanced, concentrated and layered, it's a terrific cuvée and is certainly one of the standouts in this vintage. It’s also the finest wine I’ve tasted from this estate. 1,250 cases.
