Chablis Les Forêts, Patrick Piuze 2015

Tasting Notes

Notes of mineral reduction, white flowers, grapefruit and spice nuances precede punchy yet relatively fine flavors, at least fine compared to what is typical for La Forêts, all wrapped in a mineral-driven and focused finish that is dry, clean and solidly persistent. This is really quite good and should both age and drink well young. Drink: 2019+

The 2015 Chablis 1er Cru Les Fôrets has a pretty bouquet with hints of yellow flowers and citrus peel, a distant whiff of smoke in the background. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity and a palpable saline influence that develops and then dominates the finish, urging you back for another sip. Drink Date 2017 - 2027
