This is aromatically quite reserved with ripe and pretty white flower aromas that lead to big, rich and powerful flavors that offer unusually good volume for the appellation and while this is not an especially elegant example, it packs plenty of punch and is blessed with ample underlying material.
Cask sample. Vines aged 45 years and 2/3 are 55 years old.
Open, floral with a citrus undertow. Relatively easy and open. Lots of pleasure here. Maybe slightly less energy than in some years?
