Tasting Notes

With firm tannins and ripe, balanced fruit, this is a success for the vintage, profiting from the dry conditions during harvest in Saint-Estèphe. Blackberry fruits and rich tannins give the wine shape and aging potential. Keep the wine until 2019.

Lovely warm spices on the nose. Bit of cigar. Ripe rounded fruit, even almost plump! Hint of raspberry. But very briary prickly tannins - quite a thicket of them - which overwhelm the fruit for now. Sandalwood perfume. There's something here which is quite appealing and that core of fruit might just pull through. 2018 - 2025
