Chassagne Montrachet Vergers, Bernard Moreau 2015

Tasting Notes

The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers is superb, opening in the glass with a bright bouquet of fresh apple, lime, toasted nuts and candied peel. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and glossy but structured around a lovely line of succulent, mouthwatering acidity that persists through the racy finish. This is one of the highlights of the range, the cooler mesoclimate of Les Vergers being beautifully adapted to warmer vintages such as 2015. 2020 - 2040

Ripe aromas of mostly white orchard fruit aromas display top notes of floral, resin and citrus rind. There is a lovely sense of vibrancy to the notably rich and generously proportioned medium weight flavors that possess fine levels of dry extract along with slightly better depth and length on the balanced finish.
