A cool, fresh and more complex nose offers up distinctly floral and gamy notes of mostly black fruit liqueur scents that are also liberally sprinkled with forest floor and earth nuances. The rich, powerful and very serious flavors possess imposing scale yet remain well-balanced on the slightly toasty and exceptionally firm finish that displays both better depth and length. A classically styled Clos du Roi that will need ample cellar time.
