Clos de Vougeot, Domaine Drouhin Laroze 2008

**Note: this and the Latricières are from the oldest vines of the Domaine and this wine comes from a superbly situated 1 ha parcel of Clos de Vougeot high on the hill, next to Alfred Haegelen's parcel adjoining the wall**
Strong reduction blocks an assessment of the nose but the supple yet powerful and broad-shouldered flavors possess plenty of the typically young Clos de Vougeot austerity. This is impressively long even though it is not quite as dense as the best of these grands crus. Still, ample patience is advised.
