Chambolle Musigny, Domaine Mugnier 2015

Tasting Notes

Outstanding
A ripe, fresh, cool and airy array is composed by notes various red berries, floral and discreet spice nuances. The delicious, refined and vibrant medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the delicious and lacy bitter cherry pit-infused finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. Note that this highly complex effort should drink well early if desired but should also amply reward extended keeping. Drink: 2023+

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Village felt primal on the nose, a little disjointed after tasting the comparable from de Vogüé directly before. I just thought it needed to knit together, although that will come once racked. The palate has a sorbet-like freshness on the entry: strawberry pastille and a smudge of raspberry. It is an understated village cru with moderate length. It will speak louder once in bottle. 2018 - 2026
