Gevrey Premier Cru, Domaine Denis Mortet 2010

Tasting Notes

A very cool and appealingly airy nose features mineral-inflected and ripe dark berry fruit and soft floral aromas. There is good richness to the round and seductively textured flavors that possess excellent volume yet the essential palate impression is one of refinement, all wrapped in an energetic, detailed and lingering finish though doesn't seem to have the same level of depth that I saw at this time last year. To be sure, this is a quality effort and a Gevrey of finesse that should offer up to a decade of development potential.
