The 2015 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots has a generous bouquet with red cherries, wild strawberry and hints of blue fruit that only surface with aeration. It is nicely composed and appears to gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with slight chewy tannin, a bold and forward Les Suchots that just needs to find a little more grace. There is just a touch of unwanted warmth that smudges the finish and denudes the wine of the precision it might have had.
