Tasting Notes

Elegant, fresh and vibrant, this red starts off wonderfully perfumed, with lavender, white pepper and green tea notes that accentuate the purity of the cherry and raspberry flavors. Polished tannins still provide some grip on the finish, where white truffle and forest floor details linger. Drink now through 2032.

MaryAnn Worobiec, Wine Spectator Insider, July 2018

With a bright ruby colour in the glass, the 2017 Bannockburn show pure strawberry and red cherry on the nose, with just a hint of sweet clove and white pepper. The palate is seamless, with silky tannins lightly coating a juicy core of red fruit. This wine is confidently supple and very moreish, drinking superbly well at this young stage.

Farr Vintners, Farr Tasting, September 2018

This is an intense, aromatic pinot noir with spice, plum and violet aromas joined by liquorice, prune and subtle nutty oak on the palate. Strong sweet fruit smothers fine tannins. It would be best served slightly chilled to restrain the fruit sweetness.

-, Gourmet Traveller wine, January 2019

Complex, brambly red-cherry and red-plum aromas with a lightly sappy, forest-floor edge. The palate has a super smooth array of vibrant red cherries and a clearly defined, layered texture. Drink now. Screw cap.
