Rivesaltes, Domaine de Sobilane 1969
The 1969 Rivesaltes has a perfumed bouquet with scents of orange rind, mandarin, pressed flower scents and fig – wonderful delineation here, but not powerful, almost "airy" in style. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry, a little spiciness thanks to a seam of ginger, with allspice and clove towards the light finish. Tasted at with Philippe Gayral. 2018 - 2026

Woody and earthy, but lacks the profoundness of other vintages. Still excellent, but everything is relative, and the other vintages of this wine are better.
