Aiguilhe 2015

Tasting Notes

The 2015 d'Aiguilhe (pronounced “deg-wee”) has a damn gorgeous, sensual bouquet with lush dark cherries, boysenberry and a touch of fig that is very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, perfectly judged acidity, lovely dark cherry and blackberry fruit laced with allspice and clove, this Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux displaying superb delineation on the finish. This superb wine comes highly recommended.

Tasted blind. Charred nose. Rather bloody start and then some sourness on the end. Soft tannins. Distinctive wine that’s almost ready to drink. Quite marked acidity.
