Tasting Notes

**Note: from 25+ year old vines that are situated on the very highest of the 4 terraces; aged in 50% new oak; only two barrels produced in 2016**
Here the notably restrained nose weaves together notes of smoky mineral reduction, white orchard fruit, lemon rind and floral aromas. There is a pronounced citrus character to the super-sleek and intensely mineral-inflected flavors that possess cuts-like-a-knife delineation on the focused, very dry and ever-so-mildly austere finish. Like the Bâtard, this gorgeous effort is a wine of finesse, class and grace.
