Chassagne Montrachet Rouge, Domaine Ramonet 2015

Tasting Notes

This is relatively dark ruby in the context of what is typical for the Ramonet reds. An attractively ripe and fresh nose offers up notes of various dark berries, earth and whiffs of spice and pepper. The delicious middle weight flavors possess a relatively round, supple and forward mouth feel before terminating in a dusty and mildly sweet and warm finish that offers only average depth but I suspect that more complexity will develop with a few years of bottle age. Note that this could easily be enjoyed young.
