Deep inky-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard reveals a beautiful, floral nose of violets and potpourri wafting over the expressive core of crushed blackcurrants, black cherries and blackberries plus hints of pencil lead, tree bark, Chinese five spice and Sichuan pepper. The palate is simply mind-blowing, offering this incredible intensity, depth of black fruit and spicy flavors in a wonderfully elegant medium to full-bodied palate, with exquisitely fine tannins to frame and bags of freshness on the finish. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard sports a deep garnet-purple color and earthy/broody nose of blackberry preserves, beef drippings, charcoal and plum pudding plus hints of forest floor, cedar box and stewed tea. Big, full-bodied and full-on powerful on the palate, this is a wine that won’t disappoint the hedonists! It wears the rich, generous fruit well, with firm, velvety tannins and just enough freshness to frame the fruit, finishing with epic length.
Beckstoffer Missourri Hopper - 98 points
Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missourri Hopper is youthfully mute, offering glimpses at fresh blueberries, red and black plums and mulberries with hints of underbrush, loam, cedar and cardamom plus a touch of dark chocolate. The palate is wonderfully intense and elegant, revealing fresh berry and earth layers that are superbly supported by very ripe, fine tannins and the right amount of freshness, finishing long with mineral nuances.
