Tasting Notes

The nose is floral and fresh the palate light at the start citrusy sweeter in the middle ripe apple and pear. The richer flavours are backed by freshness the finish light fresh fruited and long. 2020-26

The 2017 Estate has a very pale colour at this early stage, with vivid, pithy, saline lemon notes jumping out of the glass. There are layers of peach and struck flint, too, making for a cool, poised nose. The palate adds layers of cream that give breadth to the fruit profile, with juicy citrus and pear over hints of vanilla and smoke. There is a lightly pithy texture and bright acidity that drives the palate through to a long finish accented with notes of grapefruit. Perfectly balanced, bright and yet generous, this is a fantastic iteration of this wine.

Fine restrained nose with plenty of dusty gravel, apple blossom, sweet pear and lemon and lime peel. Sleek, compact palate, quite a gentle, harmonious, fleshy mid palate with rounded acids but a resurgent, pithy, vibrant finish of limestone, lemon peel and white citrus spice.

Water white. Fresh as a daisy on the nose. Very young and Chablis-like. But on the palate there is Cote d’Or richness and intensity, finishing with a strong youthful streak of lime.

All barrel-fermented, with 20% new oak, the 2017 Estate Chardonnay is a stellar effort. Smoky, nutty hints of roasted cashews appear on the nose, adding depth and richness to notes of peach and pineapple. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's richly textured—something of a cross between creamy and sherbet-like—coming to a long, luscious finish. I don't expect it will be the longest-lived wine, but it sure is delicious. Drink Date: 2019 - 2026.

This emanates a sense of vibrant fruit from the outset with white-nectarine and light mango aromas, laced with yellow-grapefruit and stony, savory nuances. The palate has plenty of flavor in the yellow-peach spectrum. Fleshy, fresh and juicy right the way through. Drink now. Screw cap.

Enticing and very fresh nose of sliced pears and flowers with hints of almonds and vanilla. A great combination of vibrant fruit and silky texture, this tightly wound, medium-bodied chardonnay is just beginning to unfurl its long banner. Great mineral freshness at the pristine finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
