Nuits St Georges Les Pruliers, Domaine Taupenot-Merme 2015

Relatively generous wood is enough to fight somewhat with the otherwise fresh and attractive aromas of dark currant, cherry, earth and a hint of planting soil character. There is excellent volume, power and mid-palate density to the enveloping middle weight plus flavors that deliver fine length on the moderately rustic finish where the wood resurfaces along with a hint of warmth. This appears to have the requisite concentration to absorb the wood but once again it's not 100% clear that it will as it's definitely not subtle.
