Lactic notes combine with those of reduction to render the nose more than just difficult though there is no obvious reason why it wouldn't clean up appropriately. By contrast there is simply stunning complexity to the big-bodied and overtly powerful yet quite seductively textured flavors that exude an abundance of minerality onto the driving, balanced and hugely long finale. Note that my suggested drinking for this superb effort is predicated on magnum format.
