Mazoyeres Chambertin, Benjamin Leroux 2015

This is very ripe, indeed to the point that it flirts with surmaturité on the plum liqueur, earth and gamy scents. The mouth coating and impressively scaled flavors exhibit a moderately taut muscularity before concluding in a noticeably warm if strikingly long finish. This is not without several attractive attributes but overall I find it less appealing than many other wines in the range.
