The 2017 Wiltinger Braune Kupp Auslese is intense yet clear and flinty on the ripe and generous, slightly honeyed but precise and slatey nose. Lush, round and juicy on the palate, this is a crystalline, tightly structured and persistently mineral Auslese with a long, slatey-piquant, pretty mouthwatering and finely racy finish. The sweetness is well balanced and lush and bears a highly stimulating salty-mineral grip. A gorgeous Auslese from the Kupp. Tasted from AP #10 in June 2019.
(Egon Müller Wiltinger braune Kupp Riesling Auslese) AP: 10 18. The 2017er Wiltinger braune Kupp Auslese develops a delicately ripe and very engaging nose of pear, passion fruit, greengage, herbs and delicately earthy spices. The wine proves superbly balanced on the palate, where it leaves a gorgeous creamy feel lifted by some playful acidity. The balance is simply stunning. The finish is beautifully zesty and lively, with the sweetness nicely structured by some minerals and vibrant acidity. 2027-2052
